About us
My name is Pralhad Thapa and I was born and raised in Nepal. As a high school student, I developed a deep passion for my home’s cuisine and for that of the neighboring countries. I loved cooking Nepali food and learning the cuisines of Tibet and India as well. Naturally, I attended Nepali culinary school in Kathmandu. From there, I worked in various Nepali restaurants as a cook and became proficient in cooking varieties of Nepali food. I love working with my favorite spices, such as cumin, coriander, turmeric, clove, cinnamon, ginger and garlic. These spices are considered very good for your health and I love incorporating them into my dishes.
Fourteen years ago, I came to the United States curious to see how Americans enjoy Nepali cuisine. I worked in various Nepali and Indian restaurants in the United States and found that Americans have a strong appetite for authentic, healthy Nepali food. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to open my own restaurant and serve the food that I know and love, the food that I grew up with. Today, I’m thrilled to be doing just that. My new restaurant is located on the corner of Federal and Speer, here in the beautiful state of Colorado. To all who love and cherish Nepali, Indian and Tibetan food, or those who are curious about the cuisine, I heartily welcome into my restaurant. I’m excited to share the culinary comforts of these countries with Colorado and bring a little piece of my home to you.
